Every time my Grandfather visited one of his first customers, Wheeping Willows in East Haven (now the Italian Center), the owner would yell “LA FAVORITA!!!”.  Apparently, it stuck!  60 years later, we still call our Ice Cream “La Favorita Brand”.  And believe me, it’s more than just “my favorite”!
